The mission of the GOS Foundation is to advance the orthopedic education and well-being of patients, orthopedic surgeons, and residents in orthopedic training programs.



IDEA GRANT FOR GOS MEETING

The Georgia Orthopaedic Society Foundation IDEA Grant aims to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within the specialty of orthopaedics. The program is a significant initiative to inspire real change increasing diversity in the field of orthopaedics.

IDEA stands for inspiring diversity, equity, and access.

The foundation wishes to congratulate this opportunity for four underrepresented medical students interested in the field of orthopedic surgery to attend the annual meeting of the Georgia Orthopaedic Society to be held at the Cloister resort on Sea Island, Georgia September 26–29, 2024.

These grant recipients will receive complimentary lodging for 3 nights at The Inn at Sea Island (September 26-29, 2024 - Thursday, Friday, Saturday night); registration for the 2024 GOS Annual Meeting, a meal allowance, attendance to all social events on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and gas  reimbursement for the travel. They will be paired with two GOS members as their mentors during the meeting.
